    If we spoke like that to day people would be needing translators. Balderdash isn't used much unless you are playing the game or are used to using it.

    It amazes me that a word can get captured by a special interest group and its meaning changed completely.

    Which word am I thinking about? It's the word "gay". No doubt many of us can recall having pop records with the title words including the word "Gay", as in happy.

    Within a generation the homosexual/lesbian community have captured it and nowadays we daren't speak of ourselves as being gay - unless of course we're not heterosexual. But what of all those children's books, like the Noddy and Big Ears books, which speak of these childhood characters being gay.

    Strange thing is language.
