People should *not* be able to profit from their notoriety in a situation like this. Any proceeds should go to the victim's family, without question. These people on Death Row should be made to work like all the other prisoners and pay to their victim's families. I don't believe in the death penalty *right now*. When it's perfected, I shall believe in it. I used to be a firm believer in it, until too many people started getting released from death row due to the Freedom Project, and now, I just can't bear the thought of even ONE single man/woman going there that isn't guilty. I believe that our justice system allows for bona fide mistakes. I think that our standard of guilt should be: NO doubt. Until it is proven that the death penalty can be administered without doubt, we have no business employing it.
As far as Susan Sarandon visiting with an XJW on Death Row, cool. He has a right to visitors, and it's as well as he should take it, seeing as his life is going to end soon. If someone's going to visit you on death row, it may as well be a star, right?
Actually, the stars are known for being very liberal, so it's really no surprise she is visiting him.
