once, when i was about 20 i had to go to work. I knew no one except jws. I put down one i assumed would give me a good reference. when i went back in for my interview, they told me they had given me a bad reference and i was stunned. the people felt so sorry for me (the people i thought were my friends treated me this way) that they gave me the job anyway.
