    OK ... I am ducking first ......

    Great News!

I just visited the H2O Forum and it has been upgraded with removal of
all advertising! This has made the board much faster!

I see the original wallpaper and H2O logo is back also!

No the url is shorter too!

    http://www.aimoo.com/h2o/

That means we can easily enter it without using a bookmark if not at our own computer.

Another new addition I notice is that we can even use true HTML in posts (with UBB coding remaining for those uncomfortable with HTML coding).

Pop in and have a look. I think you will be pleasantly suprised.

Sorry if I am opening old wounds here -- but what exactly caused the split? I was just getting into the old h20 before the server was starting to have real difficulties. And then it was like a bomb went off. Some posters went here, some others started posting in other posting boards. What on God's green earth happened?

Dear ofcmad, Welcome to the club!! I have been a long time poster on H20 and only gave up on the new H20 location because it was so slow. As for the rest of the crap? It's way over my head I'm afraid. Just a bunch of folks with nothing better to do that sound off I think!!! I realise that this comment won't win me any friends - but hey, been there done that! Thanx Watchtower!

I think the more sites the better, and I don't mind a bit of censorship - it stops me from showing my common side!

    warm regards

Hi Jan: The new H20 site looks great. Almost like the old H20. I see some of the old regulars there. I am registered to the system. I can even log on. But, I still cannot read posts and when I attempt to make a new post, the page goes blank. I tried using different systems. I even tried lowering all my security settings, but nothing work. Ros suggested using IE instead of Netscape. I normally use IE over Netscape. I would like to post there again just to add some of my new Justice series. But no luck. Too bad. - Amazing

Amazing, I have been having a lot of problems with Netscape - expecially the new one - and the same thing happens to me more often that not too now.

I have taken to using IE even though I am not so fussed on it.

I suggest you do the same until Netscape pull their thumb out and stop pouting because they are getting so many unhappy e-mails

I have to use Internet Explorer because when I use Netscape I get blank pages too.

    hey jang,

Hope you're not putting your head down low while ducking - it tends to make one's rear quite accessable for a quick kick - at least that's been my personal experience anyway!

Thanks for the new click. I've been going over there some - but didn't know how to bold stuff, etc.

Appreciate the information - and it shows that others do too.

    Hi Waiting,

    > Thanks for the new click. I've been going over there some - but didn't know how to bold stuff, etc.

You bold stuff just like you did here in your post, using the same UBB coding.

    OR,

You can use regular HTML coding like everyone did on the original H2O site.

The old site was a vintage '67 Mustang convertible, but the owners decided to throw everyone out (at 80 mph on the open freeway)...so we switched to NASCAR with tons of advertising covering everything but the windows. Everyone thought H2O looked cheap covered in advertising stickers from sponsors (Coolboard and Aimoo), so we purchased the rights to a shiny new 2001 Mustang convertible with NO advertising. It's just like the old vintage H2O in spirit. True, the original H2O didn't have power windows, GPS navigational system and fast V8 engine. It was a more 1930'ish experience from an administrative standpoint. There was Rick the Admin hanging from a safety harness wearing wind goggles outside a passenger-carrying durigible blimp during flight, busily patching holes in a with duct tape and banging on the windows to stop passengers from striking a match to smoke in-flight. Ahhh, then there were those precious many moments of "tough love." Like when someone would stare out the window at me, start laughing, and strike a match...wait a moment...then drop it as I pounded on the window, lip-syncing unspeakable pleas to extinguish it. My "two functioning brain cells" are also teased by the memory of those claiming they are JWs, who journey to "H2O mecca" to pay homage, and blind everyone with their bushels of halogen lights. Such ancient H2O luminaries like Elke, ahhh, her talent for picking fights with Jan H. comes to mind. And well, I'm sure <i>you know</i> a few others who used theocratese to edify readers of their posts and wisp them away to visions of decaying futuristic landscapes where JWs occupied the homes of "wicked ones" as their bodies decayed in the streets amongst debris of abandoned gold and silver. As Simon might agree, administering a site with a few rambunctious ones from each end of the anal retentive spectrum will highlight the administrator's hair with distinguished gray streaks over time. ;-)

Not to digress any further... ;->

I'm with Marilyn. I don't know what the stink is about either. I came here because someone suggested it over a H2O, and like Marilyn, I stayed because it was faster.
