good i'm happy they deserve what they get. they have been told many times there to stop their crap . and they don't listen.i would love to see some of the bethel heavies go over there and open their mouths. since they got these people in trouble in the first place , just like what happened in china in the 1950's the jw missionaries stopped their door to door work. but they sent those chinese jw's out to get arrested and many got 20 years in jail . while the missionaries went back to the u.s. . the so called fds talks a lot of $hit . but they will never go on the firing line. god bless the uzeb gov't. i know some here will scream . but if the united states gov't would have finished off the wt in 1918 , like they did to many groups. non of us would be here today crying about haw bad the wt screwed up our lives. and thats a fact. john

again i ask, "why won't they register? the article says they are bringing the trouble on themselves b/c they refuse to reigister , as they have been repeatedly asked to do.

    jws are very stupid people.

They probably can't register. There is undoubtedly a conscience issue, such as alleigance to the state or something that they would have to swear to uphold. I feel sorry for them more than anything. I have no issue with seeing JWs and the WTS trounced in court, or court orders for blood transfusion. For that matter, I have no issues with exposure in the media for crimes or suggested crimes.

But to suggest that they got what they deserved by being falsely detained and beaten... where is your sense of human compassion? Do you really want to see anyone innocent be beaten... no matter how misguided their beliefs are? We all know (because we've been there) that the JWs are passive, non-violent people. (With some notable individual exceptions of course.) And though they deserve to be shown up for their practices of control and shunning, I don't think the average deluded JW deserves to be beaten up.

Now I know that only one on this thread has suggested that they got what they deserved, but do you really mean that?

no , no one deserves to be beaten for a religous stance, unless they are a danger to others (literally). But the article clearly says they have been told to register, and have refused. If they had reigistered they would have been identifed and the police would not be bothering them. that is what the article says. they are bringing this on themselves. it is hard to feel sorry for persons, the WTS, for being so stupid to put peoples lives in risk over registering. Even door to door salesman register. these jws know they are in a dnagerous area and are failing ot complay with the law to register. if u insit on doing that, well whatever happens , u have asked for. JWS love to do stuff like this and then yell "religous persuction", when they are simply being asked to register. they make their own trouble.

Double standard the wts forces use to register with selective service. This means you are enrolling your self into the military draft system. It is funny who in america we register first and go to jail later when we are actulually asked to "violate our bible trained concience". In other countries they go to jail before they actually are asked to do anything.

i read that entire article and i saw nothing that indicated that by registering they were aligning themselves with a political party. if i am wrong, i stand corrected. Have the jws leaned nothing from Malawi or the mexico mess? simply being asked to register is not a violation of your religous rights, it sounds like they just want to be able to identiy persons out and about. most likely they are worried about the islamic fundamentalists and terrorism. can u blame them? the only person i feel sorry for really, was the 16 yr old girl, b/c she is underage and was their at the direction of her parents. Otherwise, those jws knew what they were getting into when they walked in.

of course the guards should not beat people , but the reality is they do. but these people violated the law and did so with knowlege that it could be dangerous. shame on them for bringing a child into that.

i'm sure it will be in the mags soon as an example of supreme religious faith and devotion to jah. how many more people will the wts kill? or cause terrible harm to?

As for the adults being there ok. But taking that 16 year old girl and even the 19 year old youth there to be beat up really ticks me off. JW Elders would not hesitate to use young people to protect themselves there by endangering them too. Preaching in these Islamic countries where they are not allowed to register to preach or even be in the area is a product of the evil of religious control no matter where it comes from. The situation is sad, but avoidable. Get the heck out of that country if they want to be JW's or forget the religion. If they only understood that God is not in any of these religions loosely based on the bible or any other written texts.
