When we assured him that they were then he wolfed them down (after a quick "yeahs!").
We had beans last night as well, which caused Jackson (8) to sing the Bean Song (beans beans the musical fruit ...). Much to his delight he discovered he knew how to make the 'trump' noise.
It's hard to scold them when you're trying to keep from laughing.
I get Spencer to eat asperagus by telling him it makes his pee green. He gobbles them down, and downs a big glass of water and runs off to the bathroom to try his experiment. We've done this about 4 times, he's 7 and very bright, but he hasnt caught on to this trick yet :)
Sadly Simon I dont think the facsination with trumping for boys ends when they grow outta childhood :)

Tell him if he eat's all his beans ,he can take a bath after and have fun making bubbles in the water with his trumps. The more beans the bigger the trumps.
