I read an illustration recently from the WTS saying that sheep that wander away from the flock cannot expect the shepherds to look for them unless the sheep bleat loudly. It is the sheep?s responsibility. Not quite what Jesus had in mind when he talked about leaving the 99 and looking for the lost one.
I remember that being discussed in my local congregation . This is a new concept that the sheep must alert the shepherd . The elders must not want to "waste" their time , of course their time is always more important than anybody elses . It is easier for them to suspect members of breaking the rules and visiting the web and assume that people are just fading away because of all the "lies" that are spoken around here . Not so easy for them to look at the org. for what it is .
