Actually, Russell got the Chronology from Nelson H. Barbour and accepted it as such, buit as was mentioned, 1914 had a different spin on it from what the Society teaches now. The ending of the gentiles had more to do with the restoration of natural Israel, then it had to do with the Watchtower self-righteous history.
Barbour borrowed the chronology from others, mention was made of Bowen and Elliott, however, each one who borrowed made some modifications to suit their needs.
