    Hi patio34

They're homeopathic, and there's I think 92 of them. They were invented/discovered/channelled by an English doctor named Bach (it's pronounced Batch). Homeopathy usually doesn't work on me but I find these do work. The remedies are rather eccentric (which adds to the charm of it all) and include things like Wild Oat for finding your true path in life, Mimulus for fear of unknown things, Scleranthus for when you can't decide between two options (not more), and Star of Bethlehem for after effects of shock. And so on. There really is no scientific basis at all for their working, as they do not even include extracts of the plants, they are merely irradiated on the same table with the plants (or something like that). But I'm not afraid of the irrational, and I like them. They seem to work. I'm not sure where you buy them in the States, they're at any chemists in England. I think you can probably get them at the health food store. I did find them in the States once, but I can't remember what sort of shop it was. But you can find anything on Internet now.

Does anybody else get the Sunday blues? Have you found any good ways to deal with it?

I always hated Sundays. For a JW Mom, they were almost HELL! Four kids to get up, get them motivated to get dressed for the morning meeting, make and eat breakfast, we often went in service afterwards, which might mean needing to pack six lunches because we couldn't afford to eat out, then coming home to a messy house, scrambling to get things cleaned up (I was kind of compulsive) make dinner, eat dinner, clean up, get the kids organized for their evening, put the baby to bed, and collapse. My favorite day was always Monday. Everyone went to work or to school, (except the baby, who was 10 years younger than the next child) and I was kind of off for the day, except for regular housework which I didn't mind at all.

Since we stopped going to the KH, it's a lot better, but I still have that "I hate Sundays" feeling. My kids all still know that too, which I only learned recently. They always knew I hated Sundays............must have been in a bad mood too. I still like Mondays the best. Today we are working in the yard. I just took a water break, and checked emails.

Dan, try to find something you look forward to doing each Sunday. Maybe trying a new restaurant, or going to a movie you want to see. We started off by walking around Green Lake (a small lake in the middle of Seattle, with a walking/roller blading path, about 4 miles around) every Sunday, (rain, snow or sunny) after going out to breakfast. That was our way of getting out of the meetings for a long time during our fade. We did that for years. Now we are too busy on Sundays, doing other fun things, or just relaxing. It's a start though.

Aw, don't feel bad. Dad was in just as bad a mood as you were.

Thanks Aunt Fanny! I don't have any reservations about the "irrational" and like to include some kinds of ritual in my life, now that I'm free to do that.

Mulan and Princess, thanks for the chuckles.

Today has been a pretty good day so far, all things considered, and I've managed to keep my mood up.

I'm watching Kill Bill vol. 1 right now, holy crap is it violent!!! I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it all the way through it.

Dan....you just have to talk to my mum.....SHE HATES SUNDAYS! We all take the mickey out of her because of it......so much so that if she's ever moody in the week we go "Oh oh , mums got that sunday feeling again..."

I used to hate Sundays until I gave up drinking on a saturday night, that left me clear headed enough to get up early on sunday and now the weathers getting warm, taking 12 cans of beer round mum and dads, sitting in the garden and getting sloshed with some music playing. We did that again today, all the family together, I got a tan, dad got hammered, we all got merry and even mum had a few glasses of wine too! ....and the best thing is tommorows bank holiday here, so no work tommorow.....might even have to repeat the experience!!

    All the best

I do recall not looking forward to going to meetings on Sunday mornings, but I don't think I've ever had the "Sunday Blues", as you put it.

Today was a relaxed day. The Sunday paper is here on my desk. I mowed the lawn, and fired up the Weed Eater to trim those spots I couldn't get with the mower. I lit a big pile of charcoal and grilled some chicken for dinner. Slugged down a couple beers. Watched a little golf on TV. I actually like Sundays.

Okay what the hell does that mean??? lol

Maybe a few drinks on Sunday nights is just the ticket Scoob, methinks I'll give it a try, starting tonight!

    Dan-O,

Sounds like Sundays are pretty cool in your world.

Kill Bill was terrible. There's 1 1/2 hours I'll never get back. I should have known better, after seeing Pulp Fiction. Strike two, you're out w/me Quentin! File under "movies that everybody says is cool when they first come out because everybody else is saying they're cool, then two or three years down the road when the pressure is no longer on people finally admit that it sucked". You know, just like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
