No there was a letter to the BOE a few years ago advising the same provisions be made.  In the washington DC area they rarely are.  You get a few bucks on ocassion but not often enough....

as for it constituting a paid clergy...no, not in my view. 10 bucks and cheap lunch (which never happens) is in no way fair or just compensation for a part time job.  Glad i quit ;)

One part was entitled:  'Progressively Teach Good Things to Bible Students and Believing Children'.

The title was what caught my immediate attention!  It should have been the reverse..'Progressively Teach Good Things to Believing Children and Bible Students'.

Why would WT include Bible Students and Believing  Children on the same part?

The Society would like everyone to think that newly interested ones make up the majority of those studying with Jehovah's Witnesses.  When in reality Bible studies with outsiders or 'worldly' individuals is at an all-time low (not that it has ever been a significant number).   It is children of bellieving JWs who make up the vast majoirty of Bible studies being conducted and reported.

There are nearly zero, nada, zilch Bible studies being conducted with newly interested ones in our circuit.

In our congregation alone, of the 165 publishers, the vast majority of Bible studies being conducted is with underaged children of JWs.  Of the many pioneers, elders and ministerial servants in our congregation (who make 45 of the 165) there are maybe 6 not-too-promising Bible Studies being conducted with outsiders.

So the 'how to' of conducting Bible studies in this part was really directed to JW parents!!!

JW gone bad, "Zilch studies" is right. What intelligent person would subject him/herself to this  'question and answer' kindergarten joke?

These "study" demonstration are a complete parody of what would transpire in the field, and the Rank and File knows it. How far removed from reality are those taskmasters in their ivory w. towers?

You're forgetting about all those great experience with "door-step Bible Studies" -- you know, the people that gossip and bullsh!it at the door each week and take ragazines that DO NOT KNOW they are even having a "Bible Study".  But they look good on the Field Service Report.

The last part on the program was entitled:  ‘Share Good Things By Being Hospitable’

This part was a joke as well!

Sure, our congregation has a local arrangement to provide a meal for each visiting speaker.  The problem is that most visiting speakers don’t stay for the entire meeting.  Most of our speakers ‘high-tail-it’ during the song just before the Watchtower study.  Not to mention the vast majority of our visiting speakers come alone….that is their family (wife and/or children) don’t bother to accompany him.

Apparently most visiting elders and their families are soo lacking in their own social skills that they don’t hang around long enough to benefit from any hospitality our congregation has to offer them!!!
