    8 million JWs times $1 a month is $8,000,000 a month, times 12 months is $96 million a year.

$2.10 a month from 8 million JWs almost gives you $201,600,000 a year.

I know of at least two people so far who have willed their entire belongings, house included, to the WT. One house must have been worth at least $600,000, the other? at least $400,000. Plus their cars, jewelry, everything.

Plus, it seems like every 3 months or so the WT writes the congregation, "Do you think you could get your publishers to donate a few dollars for xxx fund?"

The WT has a cool racket going.

The expense report is like the one they give at the circuit assemblies all a bunch of lies and miss reporting.

The cost cutting, Bethel lay-offs, liquidating prime real estate, appeals for more donations, stealth congregational tithe, negative growth in first world, GB statements that expenses are exceeding revenue...all very clearly show its an organization haemorrhaging and in a spot of bother financially. There is no doubt about it.

DefInitely. Some people seem to think they are only pretending to be short of money. It doesn't look pretend to me.

And rebelfighter makes a good point. Many assume that all the money from the property sales goes straight in their pocket. But for all we know they could have borrowed against their property assets years ago. It would have been very tempting when property prices were rising so fast.
