or why did they kill Abel? With Mother Eve still telling her talking snake story?

They killed Abel, because he killed the invention of religion, at least before the "new light" rainbow regime. because

Religion thrives on wealth, offerings. " contributions" and when

Abel managing to get his "choice pieces" of fertilizer*** seemingly accepted as the choice of the deity, -- piling offal on the altars became the rage.

*** Humans, not even lions, hyenas, dogs, would instinctevely eat meat, bones. proof ?: see the Ark's loading list.

Imagine religions as Garbage collectors. Composting companies. instead of keeping the pot of Gold at the real estate base of the rainbow.

The moral of the story? religion are rainbow companies, they can vanish at any moment. taking the hope of future wealth and paradise real estate with them.

It did flourish. Many ancient sources describe what it was like including recently translated dead sea scrolls. This is the "go-to" book on the topic. I read the book years ago.

In a nut-shell, the religion taught that originally, there was a creator god. But in order to create the universe, and all the beings in it - spirits and carbon based forms; he had to "empty himself" in the process. He exists now only as a vague disinterested force.

Spirits presented themselves as really the only game in town as far as god-ship goes. But, if you were able to please them well enough, you could one day become an eternal spirit as well and a god yourself.

The theological name for this is the Doctrine of Emanations. It exists today in new age and certain other reincarnation type religions.

    t did flourish.

SB: this thread was intended to be bible based humour and I did not read anything in Moses 1-9 about religion before the flood, Gobekli tepe notwithstanding.

Note the irony that in the scriptures, religion is a rainbow affair. (every one sees a different rainbow). ephemeral with supposed pot of gold as real estate base.

    jah wanted BLOOD sacrafices

P: he did not tell them to do any sacrifices, it was their idea. the bloody mess came later, on second thought. They were all vegetarians, why keep flocks? to knit socks?
