...not much difference as far as I can tell.

We have oil - they have oil.

    We're Conservative - they're Republican.

    We both love the two-step.

We can piss our initials onto a snowbank - oops!

I wouldn't try peeing your initials outside right now. It would freeze before it hits the snow, and you'd have to get your "stanley" treated for frostbite!

If you want to acquire the ability to do your full name including middle initial you have to live in Ontario.

We introduce "y'all" into every sentence instead of "eh." We don't have an accent and you do! And right now we definitely have some of your air -- damn, it's cold!!!!

    Hi 2cool,

I consider myself an Albertan because I love it here and have lived here for 25 years. But I was born and raised in northern Ontario.

Way out back where the huskies go, don't you eat that yellow snow...

    Hi Nina,

Our temperature really has moderated here today, thank goodness. ( -17 degree C= 1.4 degrees F). I have to admit when it is down around -30 life is just a bit tougher.

I was at a conference in Houston a couple of years ago and the temperature was in the 80s, but it was pouring! I didn't see much of the city except the mall across from the conference centre. Someday, we will visit Texas again, with time to explore.

As WG said, I do see some parallels between Texas and Alberta. Just not the weather.
