Just a thought. I grew up with how the grinch stole christmas and how at the end of the story he saw what the true meaning of christmas was. However this year, the first time i was reading this story to my 5 yr old son with my fiancee in the room i started to giggle about how much it seemed to represent parts of his past. just wondering if anyone else sees the comparison??

    Grinch

(((afterthougt----at least he snuck in the chimney instead of knocking on their door!!!)))

Yes, and the Cat in the Hat represents the pioneers. They show up, screw up everything, and then guess what, THEY COME BACK!

    The WTS IS the Grinch!

    Notice if you please:

Every Who down in Who-ville liked Christmas a lot
But the Grinch, who lived just North of Who-ville, did not!

    * New York is one of the northern-most states in the lower 48!

The Grinch hated Christmas, the whole Christmas season
Please don't ask why, no one quite knows the reason
It could be perhaps that his shoes were too tight
It could be his head wasn't screwed on just right

    * if you happen to read any of Charles "Craze" Russell's stuff on pyramidology, germ theory, quack science etc., this is a no-brainer

But I think the most likely reason of all,
May have been that his heart was two sizes too small
But whatever the reason, his heart or his shoes
He stood there on Christmas Eve, hating the Whos

    * hateful, offspring of vipers..... hypocrites.... who will tell people who celebrate Christmas that they are like "dogs returning to their own vomit"

the most damning evidence that the Grinch is a metaphor for the WTS/jWs comes later on in the story:

when the Grinch is caught by Cindy-Lou Who the story continues:

She stared at the Grinch and said, "Santy Claus, why?
Why are you taking our Christmas tree? Why??"
But you know, that old Grinch was so smart and so slick
He thought up a lie, and he thought it up quick!
"Why my sweet little tot", the fake Santy Claus lied
"There's a light on this tree that won't light on one side
So I'm taking it home to my workshop, my dear.
I'll fix it up there. Then I'll bring it back here."

*the Grinch claims the Christmas tree needed NEW LIGHT!! CASE CLOSED!!

The fact that some of us left our Grinchy ways is reflected in the happy ending of the story.

Wow, you definately took a lot more time to look into it than I did! It was just on last night and my family watched it, I had to laugh quite a few times and definately saw more of a resemblance than I did when I read it!!
