domestic violence needs highlighting I think because victims can often only find the courage to leave by becoming angry. trouble is getting angry can lead to disfellowshiping. The perpetrator meanwhile can be forgiven if he gives way to tears and if he professes heartfelt repentance!!! - only to repeat the cycle of abuse at a later date.

I'd really like to see a change in awareness regarding domestic abuse - perhaps along the lines of sexual abuse of minors where they will no longer be made to face their abusers. something like this sort of understanding and insight that the wts has been forced to recognise and implement so that victims of domestic abuse can vent anger and/or can leave their spouse for as long as they need and not be cast as an unrepentant person for doing so
