The latest WT celebrates the 100th anniversary of 1920 with an article about what happened that year:

    On March 21, 1920, Joseph F. Ruther-
ford . . . spoke on the subject
“Millions Now Living Will Never Die.” The Bi-
ble Students left no stone unturned in their
quest to invite interested ones to this event.
They rented one of the largest theaters in
New York City and distributed some 320,-
    000 invitations.
The public responded beyond all expecta-
tions. An audience of over 5,000 filled the
theater to capacity, and as many as 7,000
had to be turned away. The Watch Tower
called it “one of the most successful meet-
ings ever held by International Bible Stu-
    dents.”
    The Bible Students became well-known
for proclaiming that “millions now living will
never die.” At the time, they did not under-
stand that the Kingdom message had to be
proclaimed more extensively. Still, their zeal
was remarkable. Ida Olmstead, who began
attending meetings in 1902, recalled, “We
knew that for all mankind great blessings
were in store, and we never failed to tell this
good news to those we met in the ministry.”
    . . .
As 1920 drew to a close, the Bible
Students had much to be happy about.

As we know, the whole point of the Millions talk and booklet was to proclaim 1925.

as I recall, the campaign started as Millions now living MAY never die and it started in 1917

As I recall, those MILLIONS are now ALL DEAD.

I think the strategy of the WT has been to "celebrate" the 100th anniversaries of 1914, 1918, and now 1920.

To NOT do so, would look like they were "hiding" them. This way it appears they are something to celebrate.

If Anybody , even a slim animals, says: "you will not die,"--- it is a lie. it was in 1919, it still is.

The mental trick of wt is , to hide the lie by focussing on the date.or whatever side issue at hand.

wt stands condemned by it's deliberate trickery. elders by their mental drowsiness.

Interesting how when the serpent aka Satan, in the Garden of Eden, says to Eve, "you will not die," it is a lie, but when Rutherford said the same thing in 1920, it was "good news," and "one of the most successful meetings ever held."

Celebrate the 100 year anniversary of a date (although we don't celebrate anniversaries of people). who cares if those millions are now dead.

This really ought to be an embarrassment to the WTS. After all, they went hell for leather proclaiming a prediction that was totally WRONG!

If anything shows the human, fallible nature of their understanding, this does.

Is it not written in their books that JFR admitted “ I made an ass of myself ? “ in regard to this and the 1925 expectation.

and this is their main teaching, the record, on which their selection to be the only F&Discreet S. of 1919 is based.

Even if their appointment were a fact, it would treat the creator of the universe as an imbecile

Blaming God for their appointment, and the R&F's disappointment
