I do notice that noone in the WT land ever openly confesses sins and that the elder arrangement is being called on to police the congregations with all sorts of ridiculous man made rules . I also notice from reading this board that alot of the elders themselves are guilty of gross misconduct, so who can take any of it seriously ?

I still think it is important to follow some guidelines in how we live our lives and interact with others. A lot of it is common sense and treating others like we would like to be treated. When you are the only mouthpiece for God as the WTS says, they think they can't admit to any mistakes. At least not to anything specific. Have you met people that say everyone is imperfect, but will never admit to a specific act of imperfection?
