The cult demands that the "sheeple" avoid anything which has "pagan origins," so for consistency, the WTBTS should come clean and abandon the use of the pagan Gregorian calendar, and adopt the Biblical Hebrew calendar.

The days of the week are all named after gods.

Monday from Moon's Day or the god Luna.

    Wednesday from Woden's/Odin's Day.

    Thursday from Thor's Day.

    Friday from Freya's Day.

Pretty much everything you can shake a ''stick at'' is of 'pagan origin'.

It's just that the WT and it's leaders pick & chose whatever they feel is 'pagan' at the time and the Borg and it's followers run with it.

The Watchtower already tried to come up with different names for the days of the week, and for the months of the year. But it just didn't work because nobody would be able to function using their rubbish.

Why do Jehovahs witnesses care about anything “pagan”? My understanding is that paganism started around the fourth century. You were pagan if you didn’t follow the Roman Catholic Church or the same for Judiasm. Jehovah’s witnesses would not align with either one of those and themselves would have been considered “pagan”. So why do they care what religions they believe to be controlled by Satan believed were bad? Why do they think they should also believe the same?

What people think of as Paganism is in its original practices older than any other religion.... And what's wrong with windchimes ? Nobody ever objected to ours, in fact one circuit overseer wanted to get a set for a relative and asked us where we had bought ours as it had such a lovely sound each time he passed it on our stairs.

The very foundations of the Watchtower are full of pagan symbols. Studies in the Scriptures are full of Pagan symbols and prophecy. Even the COVERS of Studies in the Scriptures the Egyptian Sun God RA and the wings of protection occur PROMENTLY.
