    PUNK OF NICE:

Even though I am American, I get it that the world is not America-centric.

As for your suggestion that they ‘take up a geography class’, forget it. The education here in the U.S. has gone downhill for decades. And I don’t care who doesn’t like that I’m saying this.. Forget geography, (accurate) history, spelling and grammar and reading comprehension.. They are doing away with cursive so the idiots can’t sign their names or read historic documents.

They don’t even teach practical things so life-skills aren’t learned. Years ago they had home economics and shop classes.

Wokeism and other garbage have taken over. Will this trend ever really reverse? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do think that parents should get more involved in what their children are learning, and supplement that at home. Learning/teaching should start at home then school outside the home. The curriculum in schools are mostly controlled by people who haven't taught in a classroom for a long time, and punish teachers that go outside that approved curriculum. The problem also is, that the parents don't have good info to share. I grew up in a house where the only reading material was a good encyclopedia set and a comprehensive dictionary with colored pictures as well. That could reverse the trend, but I think the internet and social media now is a big influence.

Hey, if America was good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for us!
...anyway: people have been making these sorts of predictions for centuries. There are endless Bible verses that can be interpreted to match the world's circumstances, and lots of visions and dreams filled with symbolism that is just begging to be applied to whatever we want.
What surprises me the most is that the people making these predictions are very much aware that others have been doing the same thing and failing every single time. But they are confident that they are the exception and that they will get it right. In some cases, like the WTS and people like Harold Camping, they keep making predictions even after they got it wrong!
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Oh, really? Global warming, which is leading to the destruction of this planet has happened before? Wake up and smell the coffee. It is brewing!!

Climate Change: Past vs. Present—A 7,000-Year Perspective

Throughout history, Earth's climate has naturally fluctuated due to factors like solar activity, volcanic eruptions, and ocean currents. However, the past 7,000 years have been relatively stable—until now.

Past Climate Shifts (7,000 Years Ago to Present)

    • Holocene Climate Optimum (roughly 7,000–5,000 years ago): A warm period that allowed civilizations to flourish.
    • Medieval Warm Period (950–1250 AD): A mild warming phase, but not global in scale.
    • Little Ice Age (1300–1850 AD): A cooler period that affected agriculture and societies.
    • Pre-Industrial Climate Stability (1850–1900 AD): Temperatures remained relatively steady.

    Modern Climate Change (20th Century–Present)

Unlike past natural fluctuations, today’s warming is human-driven and accelerating:

    • Since 1900, global temperatures have risen by over 1°C—a rate ten times faster than past natural warming events.
    • Carbon dioxide levels are at their highest in 800,000 years, primarily due to fossil fuel burning.
    • Extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and ecosystem disruptions are occurring at an unprecedented pace.

    Biblical Prophecy and Climate Change

The Bible describes dramatic changes to the earth in connection with prophetic events:

    • Matthew 24:29: “The powers of the heavens will be shaken.”
    • Mark 13:25: “The stars will fall from the sky.”
    • Luke 21:26: “People will faint from fear and anxiety over what is coming upon the world.”
    • 2 Peter 3:10: “The elements will become intensely hot and the earth and its works will be exposed.”

These scriptures describe a time of global instability, marked by upheavals in the natural world. The increasing heat, storms, and environmental collapse align with what is unfolding today, leading many to question whether prophecy is being fulfilled.

    Why This Matters

While past climate shifts took thousands of years, today’s warming is happening within decades. The consequences—melting ice caps, stronger storms, and food insecurity—are not just predictions but realities unfolding now. For those who view scripture as truth, this alignment between prophecy and environmental shifts serves as further confirmation of biblical accuracy.
