Ironically, considered founder pastor Charles Taze Russel once said, that when the time came to ask for money, 'it's time to STOP, indicating it did not have God's backing in such case and therefore there would never be any need for a financial institution. Zions Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (WBTS) was formed by Russel, to PUBLISH what they believed to be the 'Truth' Again and ironically, all of Russell's prophesies dramatically failed, leaving the individuals of this 'society' in a (financial) crisis and with the embarrassment of Russel's legacy upon his death. After all, at this point what they had 'published' in writing as 'the Truth' and 'prophetized', had turned out to be incorrect (aka LIES!)
