An idea has crossed my mind.
I don't think that any other religion uses the words "New Light" more than the Watchtower.
Satan is also known as Lucifer.
But the root words for lucifer are the Latin "Lux" which means "Light", and "Ferre" which means "to carry".
Lucifer actually means "the light carrier"
IMHO, this would make the GB the equivalent of Lucifer.
Well....after all, the WTBTS loves quoting the scripture about Satan turning himself into an angel of light.
Then, of course, they said that religion is a snare and a racket, too.....
