It seems to fluctuate from year to year, Nos.

Man, I'm either blind or retarded (or both). I thought that said Increase.

LOL It actually has increased sometimes in recent years. It's not as if the door of looniness was closed in 1935, after all.

Average Publishers - 6,184,046 (2.2% increase.) Only a 2.2% increase! Those lazy bums only have to put in a measly 15 minutes a month, and they can't get motivated to do that?

When I was a JW we had to put in long hours. I started as a publisher in Fairbanks, Alaska where there are times the days are six months long. It was sometimes 40 below zero weather, and yet here was this little third grader doing a magazine route. We didn't have donut breaks back then.

Heck, nowadays their donut breaks are longer than they time the need to put in each month.

What a puny cult this has become. I'm glad I left that bunch of wimps.

2.2% is not much when you factor in how many died and how many are children of JWs.

Thanks, Euph. Now I can plug the numbers into my spreadsheet and see what the hidden aspects are of the numbers, specifically, the MIAs, the difference between the increase in publishers and the number baptized. I like to see what the hours look look like compared to previous years, i.e., while there might be 2.2% increase, the average hours per publisher may have dropped.

As to the drop in the anointed, does that mean that many died? What will next year bring? Actually, the number of anointed has held fairly steady over the last ten years. If I can manage it, I will post my graph. I think the WTS is getting stricter about who is counted as anointed. I thought about going and partaking this year but decided I had more respect for myself than to do that.

Can you imagine numbers like this:

Hours spent having the discouraged over for dinner and a game of cards. 1 billion

Hours spent helping the elderly shop, clean, get to the doctor and listening about the good old days. 1 billion

Hours spent hugging your children and telling them how proud you are of them. 1 billion

Oh gag. I'm in my 30s. When I was growing up in a zealous JW household, I remember the most how I was never good enough, never "wholesouled." Now I think my Dad has realized his mistake, cause he is always hugging me and telling me how proud he is of me. I think he's trying to make up for the kid thing, thinking maybe it will get me to come back to the Borg. I don't know... but it feels manipulative.

LOL @ Swan! And good points, Blondie.

Odrade... I'm sorry. Nothing can change the past, but an apology is better than a million attempts to "make up for it."

BTW, I just want to clarify my comment above... I didn't mean to imply that all new partakers are mentally ill. Many mentally ill JWs, however, do seem to be drawn to the idea of being anointed.

    Hello Euphemism,

thanks a lot for the rather anticipated 'news' !!!

I'm also waiting for the rest of the figures, so that I'll also

be able - as Blondie wrote -

to "see what the hidden aspects are of the numbers,

specifically, the MIAs, the difference between the i

ncrease in publishers and the number baptized.

I like to see what the hours look look like compared to

he average hours per publisher may have dropped. "

    Thanks again and greetings,

    J.C.MacHislopp
