I love how they say that of course they are expected to maintain the buildings even when the Watchtower owns them.

The Watchtower is getting richer and richer. From the sale of property going into their pockets and now to the ownership of millions of dollars worth of properties.

I would certainly think that JW's everywhere are feeling ripped off in their hearts, minds, and wallets, but too afraid to express their feelings.

They will keep believing their governing body knows what is best. The so-called "Paradise" comes with a high price, and some JW's just won't be able to afford to buy a ticket.

Peer pressure will come into play to follow the GB`s direction and it will,or has of course be adopted unanimously by the congregations.

So now the GB will have instant control over any property they want to liquidate for any reason or whim.

Sounds like they are preparing for widespread defections. When that day comes, the GB will just tell everyone to get the hell out of their buildings.

They know what they are doing.

Thank you Atlantis, I heard rumours of this but now I have 'The Truth'. Wishing you n yours my best wishes.

I can see how total control has been subtly taken of the finances of all Kh .This will cut down on Menlo Park like scenarios to not come into play again.

The washtowel has always stated "Relative Authority Corrupts Relatively, Absolute Authority Corrupts Absolutely". This is actually being applied to them .

Thanks Atlantis and Petra... No doubt their legal team checked it out but it seems outrageous that a KHall that was built, paid for, with often the savings of local dubs, for their use could be given away , just like that

We are seeing the results with halls being sold and dubs having to travel a distance to meet. The sheep just bleat that " it is Jehovah's will"

They state that they are going to send out bills to the Congregations for things like electricity due to the change of ownership.

What's the chance of them to start charging rent?

They were only too eager to charge them interest on the loans and made the congregations pay these loans back. Then they were made aware that they can't legally charge the interest and possibly loan the money as well.

They announced that they were lovingly 'forgiving' these loans in theory.

Now they want to own the Halls and since they own them, there's nothing to stop them from charging rent or even disguise that bill to the congregations as an 'allocation for future major renovations/repairs. Or maybe bill the congregation after renovations have been carried out. I doubt most Elders would think twice about it since they will be receiving bills from the Watchtower Trust anyway.

The faithful and discrete slave has responsibility “to care for the masters belongings as well as its material assets”!!I don’t remember where it said that in the Bible - material assets!! I also seem to remember the ballyhoo about the fact it doesn’t get to care for all the masters belongings until after Armageddon !!

    Do I remember correctly there??!

Dio.... They can add whatever they want to scriptures and the faithful will still blindly follow along with it,
