I've been studying the forcast's all week, its a hangon from when I used to clean windows...... The general consensus is that it would rain last night(Which it did here), and then dry out(Which it is now), and then stay dry for the weekend, but with a frost on Saturday and Sunday nights(-2 and -3 respectively). So there should be no problem about your bike getting wet, but there will be salt on the roads so you'd have to give it a good dose of WD40 before you set off, and a good clean when you got back. And you'd have to make sure you've got good winter kit because it'll be freezing.........

I've been digging round and there are quite a few trains from yours to Manchester that will get you ther late afternoon, and leave on Sunday after a pub lunch to get rid of the hangovers..... The train is a bit pricey though. I'll be there on my bike, its still forcast to be dry, but down ot -4 on Saturday night.........
