    Ok. I'll handle this.

The trinity is like three borgs ( who have a hive mind). One Borg left the cube ship and came to earth to be sacrificed. He died, but the other two resurrected his body and beamed him back up to the mother cube ship. He was still in the others when his body was killed, so technically he resurrected himself.

They can exist separately, but their minds are one. Boom! everyone leaves this thread happy. Now, back to Star Trek, which like the Trinity, belongs safely in the land of fiction.

Well as an athiest I won't dismiss something because I don't like the conclusion. Cofty raised a fair point in his trinity challenge and I have tried to answer it.

    Trinity equals infinity.

    1+1+1 = 3

    100 + 100 + 100 = 300

But the infinite when symbolized by:-

    1oo + 1oo+ 1oo = 3

    Therefore trinity = infinity.

I accepted the challenge Cofty. I guess my above answer may appear incomprehensible, possibly even stupid, but personally I think its plausible. So let's say i think it's possibly, personally plausible.

A mother, a father and a son have the last name Jones. You have 3 persons with the same last name. Which one is Jones? Each one is Jones while being different persons. - TTWSYF

You have provided an illustration that supports my assertion that christians are polytheists.

Father is a Jones, mother is Jones and junior is Jones. This makes three Joneses.

You could say the same thing about them being human. One isn;t a less Jones or human than the other. That could be an analogy to explain the trinity.

And again you have provided an illustration about THREE humans.

Similarly christians worship Jesus and they worship "god and father of Jesus".

Thank you for helping me make my point.

Rebel - Your answer is a total gibberish. I'm not even going to waste pixels responding to it.

I guess my above answer may appear incomprehensible, possibly even stupid - Rebel

    Yes it does

Vanderhoven - This thread isn't provided for christians to share platitudes about Jesus.

    Please address the topic

I see Christ as the Father's Word manifested in the flesh, and the Holy Spirit as the Father's actions manifested as whatever was observed. Observed distinct from each other, reliant upon the will of the Father, and yet cannot be separated. - InChristAlone

Actually I thought that was quite well put, it's the nearest thing to understanding it I've ever come, anyway. - Dio

The challenge is not to say a few things about Jesus, god, and the HS so ICA's post is a total non-answer.

    The challenge remains unanswered.

    The Challenge

Imagine somebody with no knowledge of theology asks you about your god.

They know that you worship Jesus. They know that you also worship "the god and father of Jesus".

Please explain as simply as possible how you avoid the charge of polytheism without contradicting yourself, without using specialist theological terms and without resorting to non-answers lie "it's a mystery".

If you could use an everyday illustration as well that would be very helpful.

Well Iam certainly open to correction if my theory wasn't a sound proposition, but oouch.
