    Agree with SBF - most likely just sloppy editing.

    WT writers often write things that contradict official doctrine. In general, most seem incapable of holding a thought for more than 30 seconds or so, which makes it impossible for them to think through the ramifications and implications of what they write.

    What do you expect? WT writers, for the most part, have no more than a high school education and certainly have no training in journalism."Qualifications" for joining the writing team, are based on ones "spirituality" (i.e., how docilely one follows directions and kisses up to those above them).

    Shame the study is past. People who attend could have had some fun with it. They could have said this WT introduces a "new thought" that Daniel went to Babylon in 607 instead of 617. It would have been difficult for the conductor disagree, because either that is true or the statement in the WT is wrong by 10 years. And I doubt any conductor would want to declare a statement in the WT a mistake.
