I suspect a lot more still-ins peruse XJW sites that we give 'em credit for.

I'd love to know what percentage of JWs are PIMO (or more PIMO than PIMI)? I bet it's quite high, but also quite hidden. If the shunning stuff was dropped there would be a major exodus.

It is hard for anyone to not have heard some of the phrases. A few JWs have a sense of humor, but most are way too "serious" to laugh at themselves. I got caught wearing every day socks.

As for the WT being directed to family........very few times do the solutions have any real value: ;study more, do FS together, never miss meeting, spend your vacation wearing a skirt, tie at Bethel. How about a solution like get enough education to support yourself and have a reliable car and home.

The present WT is maybe 6th grade level, the simplified is 3rd. And they do not seem to really know how to write at any education level. The new one (if we ever see one, I haven't found one yet) will probably be 4th or 5th, except for the big words they will forget to edit.

The direction the JW org is going is that shown in the film Idiocracy. This bleak vision of the future is when polysyllabic speakers are viewed with suspicion and only base interests and desires are catered for. Lawns are sprinkled with Kool aid. Education is forbidden but no doubt, since no brain work is needed, there could be attendance at a Kingdumb hall.

I'm looking forward to the time when unwittingly the terms PIMO or POMI is used in the Watchtower study.........July 15th 2020: "Are you physically in but mentally out?" Although, come to think of it, the word "physically" might stump a few modern readers!

The very fact that JW website now uses the word “shun” in relation to DFing. I can’t recall that was a JW term in that context before apostates popularised it.

In fact, the fact that JWs are adopting apostate terminology in relation to shunning seems to me to be a hopeful sign that they are on a journey toward abandoning the practice.

They are more likely to say "fleshly in"!

Sure, why not? "Apostates" are former JWs, after all.

Cross-pollinization's gonna happen, no matter how much the Org tries to avoid it.

It's weird, but every time the term "fleshly" was used in a WT talk or literature, I couldn't help but think of Billy Idol...
