The dumb stuff you say online gets thrown away when you meet someone in person!

What?!?! But my entire reputation is based on my stupid comments!

S'ok, Doc. If you keep saying dumb things when you ARE face to face with the peeps, your reputation will remain intact.

I've done Toronto twice in two years, but my wallet cannot afford Texas twice in one year!

    Y'all party on without me!

    Are you avoiding me, Cowboy?

After serious discussions with our District Overbeer and Big Tex (does that constitute an elder's meeting?), we have arrived at a menu and are throwing it out for a democratic discussion: Pueblo Arriba, a fairly new Tex-Mex restaurant on McKinney Avenue in Dallas, not overwhelmingly far from The Bradford, wants our business. They will do a buffet that will include appetizers of flautas and stuffed jalapenos, build-your-own fajitas (including veggie for our dear Tink), and sopapillas (a lovely carb-ridden Mexican dessert, kind of like donuts or beignets), and two drinks, for a total (and I'm including tax and 20% gratuity that they're adding on) of $34.50 per person. After your two drinks, you're on your own and can start a tab at the bar. We'll be getting half the restaurant, as well as a good chunk of their covered patio (for fresh air fiends and/or smokers), on which they'll put a couple of heaters if the weather is cold. Also, they'll let us stay from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and probably later if we keep supporting the bar.

Let me know if that sounds like a good idea -- Big Tex and I ate lunch there yesterday, and their food is really good. I don't think you'll be disappointed. If we do this, it will be going on my credit card, so I'm inclined to ask that you bring cash and pay as you come in, so no one forgets -- unless, of course, I win the lottery before then, in which case dinner's on me! (I'll keep you posted on that.)

    Now all I have to do is find a babysitter . . . .

I'll find out for you, Tink. I think if they aren't available at the restaurant, we can find some for you at Whole Foods or Central Market and just bring our own!

Dumb question tink: what makes a tortilla vegan? Is it the eggs? Do they put eggs in tortillas? I thought I knew about the vegan diet, but I guess my ignorance is popping up again.

Umm, we'd like to talk to you in the back room.

By the way, their fajitas were fantastic. We didn't have the flautas, but the quesadillas were the best I've ever had.
