I posted earlier about Oliver North's books. I just finished Mission Compromised and enjoyed the hell out of it. I knew that the sequel had just come out so last night I decided I couldn't wait any longer and went out and bought The Jericho Sanction.

I'm only a few chapters into it right now, but I'm loving it. In fact, after I get off this computer (hopefully someone will be on Yahoo Messenger!) I'm going to spend my Saturday night reading.

When I read books like that I look at what I see in the news and wonder about the stuff we're not told. I think about Ollie North and wonder how much real information went into his books. Pretty scary stuff sometimes. I remember when I watched that second plane hit the WTC tower, the first thing I thought of was the ending of Tom Clancy's book Debt of Honor.

    Wow! No replies?

I can't believe this! I start a really good thread and no one replies! I'm fixin' to take this personally. <sniff! sob!>

I have never heard of these books you mention, man !

However, I agree that computers take away valuable reading time. I have read many books over the period of the last 10 months, and my eyes are telling me no more.

I've heard of the books, but haven't read them. Jericho Sanctions sounds really good though...do you have to read the first to get the second one?
