A young woman was allowed to be abused in church

    By Armando Valdés

    Piedras Negras, Coah:

A member of the Jehovah's Witnesses will be denounced today for sexual abuse against one of their sisters in the temple, located in the ejido Villa de Fuente.

The denunciation that the defense lawyers Hugo Flores and Luis Miguel Espino will lodge today at noon before the northern delegation of the Attorney General's Office of State Justice.

According to the first reports, the 31-year-old member of the Jehovah's Witnesses has repeatedly sexually abused the young woman for years.

However, these cases, according to the laws of religion, must first be brought to trial inside the temple by the group of elders it governs.

The elders, knowing that the act itself was committed, covered up their member because of his closeness within the congregation, according to the victim.

According to the complaint to be filed by Hugo Flores, the young woman went last week to ask for his support to act through the law against the member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

This is in order for justice to be done since nothing has been done within the flock of Jehovah's Witnesses since the same elders of the aforementioned sect have not acted.

Hope this young lady gets justice and the elders along with the abuser all get prison time.

The elders were complicit in hiding the crime from authorities and they should also be held liable.

Maybe if the law starts punishing the elders personally it might help speed up change

Probably not. They will rather feel persecuted as true christians.

Enough already, this cannot keep happening. Lock the Governing Body up until they reform their policies, it's time to take the kids gloves off.

Elders need to be prosecuted for not reporting these crimes to the appropriate authorities ,either child Protection or the police in every Country .

Only then will we see a reduction in this sort of abuse that has been allowed to go on for so long.

Its an indictment against law enforcement agencies around the world that this has not been done already

Elders themselves have failed both ethically and morally in not taking it upon themselves to report these abuses despite what the Legal Department or the Governing body have directed them to do .

They need to man up for the children`s sake.

If the elders were prosecuted for failing to report ie by being accessories to the crime there would be mass resignations of elders all over indicating in itself how bad the abuse situation is.

and, no one with .2 of a brain would want to be an elder.
