Greetings:
I am on my DELL laptop now. I can visit this site on my Mac, but my personal info doesn't show, there's no signing in or out, and I cannot reply. There's no interactive access. All this within the last couple of days.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

Thats likely something todo with the switch to using HTTPS for the site which has happened over the same time.
If you're on a PowerBook G4 you're most likely on a rather old version of Safari I'm guessing and it's possible it just doesn't support the newer encryption protocols being used.
Are you running the latest OS available for it (Leopard?)
Do you have trouble going to any other sites that use HTTPS?
Do you have any alternative browser on it that you can try as well?
see: http://lowendmac.com/2008/9-browsers-for-g3-and-older-g4-macs/
Unfortunately, a lot of new web-tech means that HTTPS is going to be pretty much mandatory for sites going forward so it may be an issue that starts to come up more often for older machines that pre-date some of the newer standards but hopefully we can figure something out.
Of course it could just be some script error that can be fixed. I had to make some other changes as part of the move to using SSL.
Thanks, Simon:
My Mac is old -- a hand-me-down -- and all attempts to upgrade are useless. Went to different "how-to-fix" sites where users complained of their browsers being outmoded but Mac incapable of allowing a Safari upgrade. For some reason I cannot upload Chrome, which I use on my DELL.
Other https sites are fine. My equally old but dependable DELL is getting me through to you now.
I appreciate the explanation.
THANKS MUCH.

I have an old mac mini somewhere and seem to remember Chrome no longer being supported on it and Safari couldn't be updated either (it's an intel one but 32 bit and limited to OS X Leopard as well).
There are quite a few things that happen behind the scenes that can make HTTPS work or not work (it's like an umbrella term, the actual encryption method used can vary) which would explain why some sites might work and others not but it is possible it's just a script error.
I'll try and see if I can make it work but at least you have something to use that's working :)
Thanks, Simon!
I'd hate not to be able to "talk" back!

Simon, Is there anyway to make the people and information in our old messages, easier to find, such as bringing up all of one person's messages, etc, in a private word search?
Thank you.
