Doesn't this just show how the GB does not think things out? Duhhhh---"some chemical company has some land for sale. Let's buy it!" Not a thought of it possibly being polluted in spite of a chemical company having owned the land.

Nice to see the WT getting fucked over by a shell game of corporations. Getting a taste of their own medicine.

Warwick Supervisor Mike Sweeton said the site has been cleaned as part of the approval process. Watchtower is building offices, apartments to house 1,000 adults, a cafeteria, a vehicle-maintenance building, an infirmary and a parking garage at the site.

Maybe they should be building a larger infirmary. One that can care for the numerous cases of cancer caused by PCB's.

The suit was filed in New York’s Southern District in June against International Nickel and 10 other companies that Watchtower says are affiliated with the mining company. Some of the companies named in the lawsuit are Inco Alloys International, Inc., Huntington Alloys Corporation, Special Metals Corporation, Precision Castparts and Inco United States.

With all the investments of the Watchtower, wouldn't it be something if they somehow ended up suing themselves.

This is what happens with an organization that discourages "critical thinking".

LOL! Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of 'super legalese' f**kers. They play so coy with the ARC on child molestation but try like hell to get others to 'pay up' for their f**k up. They had to know what sort of business occupied the property prior to buying it. Didn't jehober guide them?

I hope they finish the project and then can't get occupancy permits. I also hope that none of the friends get ill effects from the contamination.

    just saying!

Does anyone know if the area was cleaned up before construction started? I was working there on the concrete with a private contractor, and no one said a word to any of us about the contamination (the union or the people in charge of the project). It was a dusty job, and we would have breathed in quite a bit of it if it wasn't dealt with before the project began. any information would be great...
