Sorry what I meant to say was that I still get nervous not so much talking to women but asking them out.

I found it to be the opposite actually. It all comes down to confidence and putting yourself out there more.

Remember, confidence just means you know you can handle whatever happens.

Holden - I get you. I am so not interested in relationships that I don't have to bother anymore. I don't envy you.

My self confidence came back after being out of the cult a few years and swearing like a sailor. French Canadian QuƩbecois is great for that calice d'hostie.

By your first post, I can tell. Good luck. If it's of any help, some women feel equally nervous around getting asked out. And there can be one or two who may ask you out.

There are so many different types of women, career women, girly girls who love being taken care of, independent women who want to pay for themselves and make their own decisions, women who love children, women who don't. So don't just think 'women' we're all different.

Good luck, I'm single again so I can imagine how nervous dating must make you. Lots of good women out there and some not so good, just like men really. All the best in your efforts to meet someone special šŸŒ·

See if she'd like to meet for coffee or tea, that's not a date it's a friendly meet up. If you want to spice things up a bit order a pastry lol.

Look for common interests perhaps the JW experience unless she only wants to put distance between herself and the JW's. If she does want to talk about it make sure you understand where she is coming from. Otherwise try to get her to talk about herself, look for interests and things in common.

Ask her questions. Hold off bragging about yourself.

Be sure to mention how much you enjoyed yourself and if she agrees suggest another coffee meet up. Or if there is great place to take a walk suggest that. Walking and chatting is a great way to build up a relationship.

And your still not dating in the conventional way.
