    The Watchtower has posted a news item on the Coronavirus on their website and officially endorces the advice of WHO, the World Health Organization which is described by Wikipedia as -

    The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialised agency of the United Nations that is concerned with world public health. It was established on 7 April 1948, and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The WHO is a member of the United Nations Development Group.

    These are the listed objectives of WHO listed on their website

    These are the listed objectives of WHO listed on their website
    The main objectives of the WHO Office at the UN (WUN) is to:
    • improve, on behalf of all WHO, its engagement with the UN system;
    • better position health in the debates and decisions of UN, inter-governmental bodies;
    • anchor health in the global 2030 sustainable development agenda;
    • strengthen WHO's effectiveness and leadership role in health as part of the UN humanitarian system;
    • create and sustain effective networks and coalitions with the relevant UN agencies and other stakeholders, based on shared agendas for substantive work;
    • contribute to a coherent and effective UN system at global, regional and country levels.

    They even link to their website.

    The comment the Watchtower make on the website is as follows

    Regarding the coronavirus, the World Health Organization has provided additional advice for the public.

    They also inform JWs to put their trust in Governments by following their direction with the following statement

    Follow Government Recommendations and Directives. Local authorities often implement precautions or restrictions for public health. It is good to keep informed and comply with the government’s directives.—Romans 13:1.

    Reminds me of that old Judge Rutherford book: “Watchtower hears a WHO!”

    Or was that Dr Seuss?

    Another example of diluting theocratic teaching, this time with information from the devil's own caring humanitarian organisation.

    Surely if God was with the GB they would get special directions (whether it makes sense or not) so very late in the last days? Nah! Jehovah's Witnesses are just like any other money hoarding crack-pot religion.

    Let's be frank, that much vaunted 1914 Kingdom by Christ in heaven is utterly, utterly useless. More power to common sense and the World Health Organisation!

    I listen to Styxhexenhammer666 on YouTube for coronavirus advice, not the World Sickness Organization or the Center for Disease Creation. He has common sense advice that is not way out, but is practical. I treat the actual virus similar to H1N1 (which I did not get, by the way). I have my supplements that support the immune system, hoping that it will make what could have been a severe case into a mild one, shorten it, throttle its replication (meaning less chance to become severe), or perhaps stop me from getting it at all.

    I have been preparing more for panic and lockdowns. That is going to do more people in than the virus itself. Most people that get the virus, and are in decent health, will get symptoms similar to a bad cold or the flu. But, that won't matter if you get into a fight because food cannot get in due to quarantines. There is going to be more death and serious injury from fights and auto accidents from reckless driving stemming from this panic than from the virus--and that cannot be mitigated with supplements. And, the last thing I need is to avoid getting the virus only to end up in the hospital because of a fight from these shortages. That is common sense, and Styxhexenhammer666 has pointed out that this is the bigger risk.

    Sure beats the washtowel, which just wants as much misery and suffering as possible.

    1. The United Nations is the "Wild Beast of Revelation" or

    2. The united Nations is the "superior authorities" of Romans 13:1 which "stand placed in their relative positions" by Jehovah.

    Sorry, Watchtower, but I am confused. I am asking if it is #1 or #2 and the Watchtower is answering "Yes."

    The Watchtower is now saying to listen to the advice of the United Nations

    That means Jah is saying to follow the advise of the Wild beast. Seems this Coronavirus has shaken Jehovah too.

    The news tends to sensationalize every virus. The human race is still here and it’s going to take one hell of a virus to take us all out.

    Also, I don’t believe most of what I hear about this virus either. It came from animals in a marketplace?? How about it came from the laboratory in Wushan who handles many deadly viruses and who’s security standards were not great, and not improved since the last complaint about said standards?

    It’s just a coincidence the virus came from an area with a laboratory??

    Anyway I’m not worried about it. My immune system is very healthy. I take some extracts from mushrooms and oil of oregano and that shit kills everything.

    It’s not a bad idea to have some extra food and water around, but don’t get crazy about it. There are a great many businesses ( Big Pharma included ) waiting to capitalize on fear.

    Let me see if I've got this right:

    They believe that worldwide sickness and disease is the beginning of Gods plan to end man's "system of things" which includes the U.N and it's various branches, who they believe are backed by Satan himself. They also use a scripture from the Bible to prove that their followers should follow the advice given by this organization, so that they can avoid getting the sickness and disease that they believe is part of God's will.
