And what's more, their insistance that it IS an appropriate course of action (as it's supposedly "Bible-based") and - consequently - their refusal to change or abandon the policy* is, in fact, making the problem worse rather than fixing it (as they insist it will).
To paraphrase sparrowdown's exceptionally eloquent remark from yesterday, "It's not a few bad apples in the the barrel... it's the barrel itself that's turning the apples bad."
