Irrespective of the bona fides of the text's rendering, the fact is, the Borg accepts it. Yet they are caught between "a rock and hard place". How can they both accept it, yet face up to its seeming contradiction of their theology? They do so poorly as I have tried to illustrate. Yet the R&F seem to unquestioningly accept it.
It is that that "newly interested persons" reading this 'must read' book should be on guard against.

Along the lines of what ozzie noted, the shallowness of the jw baptism w regard to gods spirit. Baptism makes the candidate a member of the wt org, yet the org isn't even mentioned in mt28:19,20. On the other hand, god's spirit is mentioned, yet dubs are only to 'acknowledge' it, not even recieve it, or recieve a spiritual awakening , or anything else. This ceremony has all the earmarks of a spiritual initiation, yet the wt removes that aspect and inserts it's own corporation. Any candidate who did undergo something spiritual and talked about it, would no doubt have his dub days cut short.
