I'm making this post almost as a test as well as a report of an issue.
I'm still having that same issue I told you about yesterday, but others aren't.
If it goes through, well then, things are back to normal! Never mind!

Perhaps you were on double-secret probation (only Simon and the chief mods know the list).
Apparently you now can post new topics but they will be closely monitoring you in the short term to follow your progress. Full privileges will gradually be returned depending on your progress and attitude.

I made this post early Friday morning. It just went through now. Comments are working just fine.
Thanks, it sounds like the topic counters are messed up for some reason and the limits are kicking in when they shouldn't. I'll need to do a bit more digging.
