when confronted with Angus Stewart’s blunt question “Do you see yourselves as Jehovah God’s spokespeople on earth?” the answer that came from Jackson’s lips was astounding.

That I think would seem to be quite presumptuous to say that we are the only spokesperson that God is using. The scriptures clearly show that someone can act in harmony with God’s spirit in giving comfort and help in the congregations, but if I could just clarify a little, going back to Matthew 24, clearly, Jesus said that in the last days ‐ and Jehovah’s Witnesses believe these are the last days ‐ there would be a slave, a group of persons who would have responsibility to care for the spiritual food. So in
that respect, we view ourselves as trying to fulfill that role.”

I think he was just giving the answer that would give himself and the GB the least problems. What he really believes, like the truth, is of no concern to these guys. Theocratic warfare as they say. Or in English, blatant liars!

very carefully worded, I'll give him that. He basically says, that some in the congregation also can be a spokesperson of God when he helps someone. So basically he still limits the possible spokespersons only to JW. Mostly the GB8, but sometimes maybe elders, ms, however, as we know, only if they follow the GB guidelines to the t.

The persecutor should have nailed it there, and asked, if also a non JW could be today a spokesperson for God.

    What a weasel !

All this time I thought he was saying it was presumptuous to say that the Watchtower was the only source of God's Spirit. Seeing it now he said that other members of the congregations ( of J W) might also get his spirit, in counselling others.

That is not what the questioner meant ,as well he knew.

He slipped out of that one, didn't he?

Thanks Smiddy for bringing this up.

He shows awareness of how culty it would sound to say in public what they say all the time to their members. Theocratic strategy at work.

Theocratic warfare - Jackson was lying for the org, plain and simple.

The WTS has said many, many times that God uses only one channel - and that today He is using only the Governing Body.

Wako Jacko was just lying to Justice McClellan to cover the Society's ass.

Hopefully this disgraceful behaviour will wake up a few questioning JWs.

Addendum - notice, also, that Jackson doesn't give a direct answer. The question Angus Stewart put to him demands a straight yes or no answer. And Jackson didn't have the balls to give a straight answer.

A liar and a coward, TBH.

    Sad, isn't it?

Can you imagine Russell, Rutherford, or Franz backpedaling like that?

Hell no! They'd have stepped right up and said "you're damn right we are!"

The whole transcript for this particular case study was interesting as the GB representative knew he got cornered many times despite his best efforts to DEFLECT from question asked he was still found out to be LYING.

Everyone out there only need to listen to the QUESTION again and see how he was trying to SAVE face with the response

Jehovah’s Witnesses believe these are the last days ‐ there would be a slave, a group of persons who would have responsibility to care for the spiritual food.

How can the information (Preaching) done so by the JWS be true and righteous spiritual food if its false unscriptural teaching opposed to Jesus's instructions for preaching his new Kingdom order ?

The bible identifies the leaders of the JWS (GB) as false prophet apostates or more commonly known as corrupt misleading charlatans running their own publishing empire the Watchtower Corporation.
