JWorg is carrying a "news" article concerning their recent win of a Telly Award.

I don't need to add to the JWorg website hits, so here is the award listed on the Telly Award website:

Winners for the Telly Awards are selected from entries that are submitted by the producers themselves - for a fee, of course.

Getting an award you have paid for is a bit like saying the Bible is true because it says so itself.

It appears like the Telly Awards are set up to promote and publicize the producers of the work. This award that JWorg "won" as a result of entering the competition, is actually an advertising scheme.

This is humorous. The statuettes that JWorg is displaying on their website along with the amazing win article, would have been purchased by the Watchtower. Lol!

    https://www.tellyawards.com/awards/awards/

Designed by the same firm that makes the Oscar® and Emmy®, the Telly statuette is nearly 12 inches tall and weighs more than 4 1/2 pounds. Winners that wish to commemorate their achievement will have the opportunity to purchase a winner's package, which includes one statuette and one commemorative certificate. If you wish to honor other members of your team, your client, or anyone else involved in your award-winning entry, additional statuettes and certificates are available.

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.—Matthew 6:1-2

Of course, this passage doesn't apply to the Watchtower because they don't give to the poor. When they blow their trumpet, it's about something inconsequential.

Aha, so it's like one of those "Who's Who" gigs.

Back when I was a lad, and getting pretty good grades, I'd get weekly or so mail offers (pre-internet) asking me to purchase a copy of "Who's Who in American High Schools" or some such bosh.

And who was in this "Who's Who", you might ask?

Why, all the nitwits who parted with the $60 or $70 dollars to purchase the book, of course!

Bragging about an award you have paid for is like bragging about getting laid by a hooker.
