I was reading an article written by someone about there daughter today and after reading some of the replies made to this man, I found myself completly shocked at the exspressions of some people. Exspecially those "So called Christians". So I decided to write down a famous accurance from the bible. Some apostles had been arrested by the Sanhedrin, or Jewish high council of Priest, they were brought before this council to be questioned. The interesting part, is the advice given to them all by a certain Pharisee. A famous teacher of the law named Gamaliel. If you are a christian, what this man says here in the passages found below and in your bible at Acts 5:33-40 should interest you all. In fact, more than interest you, it should motivate you to listen and act according to his council. Why? Because it's written down in your bible, your guidebook of christian values and ethics. No one should have to pleade with you or even try to convince or reason with you.
A person who calls themselves a christian and who would read this council would stop immediately. Why? Because the scripture is inspired of God, Your Christian God, and this is the counsil that your Christian God has deemed necessary for you to follow. Do as you chose, because regardless of what you chose to call yourself, Christian or not, that same loving God gave you a free will. But just remember his final words!
Please read the account in your bible or below if you dont have one available.
Acts 5:
33 When they heard this, they felt deeply cut and were wanting to do away with them. 34 But a certain man rose in the San´he·drin, a Pharisee named Ga·ma´li·el, a Law teacher esteemed by all the people, and gave the command to put the men outside for a little while. 35 And he said to them: "Men of Israel, pay attention to yourselves as to what YOU intend to do respecting these men. 36 For instance, before these days Theu´das rose, saying he himself was somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined his party. But he was done away with, and all those who were obeying him were dispersed and came to nothing. 37 After him Judas the Gal·i·le´an rose in the days of the registration, and he drew off people after him. And yet that man perished, and all those who were obeying him were scattered abroad. 38 And so, under the present circumstances, I say to YOU, Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; 39 but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, YOU may perhaps be found fighters actually against God
