Never asked for money after the "donation" arrangement was instituted. Hardly asked before that. Jesus said you received free, give free.

I have never admitted this. It's sort of embarassing. When I was a kid, I used to hang out by the contribution box and using a field service report folded several times, I'd fish out the money from the little slot and pocket it.

I never once asked for donations when they switched to the donation arrangement. It just felt too much like begging. Besides, if God was really behind the org, he wouldn't let it go broke.
