So I'm sitting here at work and it just dawned on me that I use the same phrase over and over subconsciously. In my job I have lots of people that thank me on the phone and for some reason instead of saying "Your welcome" (which I do use occasionally) I say "not a problem" or "no problem".

What is your little catch phrase that you subconsciously use?

Mine is usually "Okely Dokely". That would be from Flanders on the simpsons.

Also "Hey, Hey".Crusty the Clown from the simpsons.

Spice, that's funny - - I say the same thing - - even if what I'm doing IS a problem. I think this is a part of a "perfectionist" nature. I feel the need to make everything look easy.

I also instead of saying "You're welcome" say "No problem". Not sure why. It's just the first thing that pops out of my mouth. Or I also tend to say "No, thank you" when someone thanks me, even if they haven't done anything for me.

I have quite a few, and I love them all. I say "Lotsa fun!" a lot.

When I'm getting ready to leave, I usually say, "Well, I should make like a tree and f*ck off".

    I call food "chow"

I call bad drivers "Hoopy Bastards" and "Stupid Eggs"

All in all, I'd say my language is quite colorful.

Actually, I am really trying to get out of the habit of calling women "Love".

I sometimes hear other chaps using the expression, and it sounds really patronising.

    "OK, Love"

    "Thanks Love"

    Or even worse:

    "Cheers, My Lovely"

    "Thank you my Lover"

    Englishman.
