After having been accustomed to three decades of prayers at the Kingdom Hall, where "Amen" was said out loud at the end; I then attended a large church funeral for a relative---the Pastor said a prayer---and *I* said "Amen" out loud. Much to my embarrassment, out of over a hundred or so people there, I was the ONLY one that did..............[color ME red]
Are JWs the only ones who DO this?

No. Lots say it.
When I was a JW, I never said it.
My inlaws are Mormon and they always say Amen outloud. I did when I was a JW, but not anymore.
The dub God is either hard-of-hearing or not smart enough to know that petitioners are praying to Him, unless they speak out.
Some puny God those dubs worship. A God who needs a hearing-aid. The dub God is not dead. He's just handicapped.
