Yes JWs live in a state of illusion based on the assumption that Jehovah is going to flush the toilet soon and they are striving to not get flushed as well, in the mean time they avoid the reality in which they live and of themselves.
Because the average jw is speaking stupidity, alternative truths, half truths and behave like parrots, Gorby can't stand a gathering with jw's anymore without serious health problems.
So I avoid as much possible.
