JW.ORG Now requires personal address

Logging on to the user area access today, there appeared a message saying that they now require a postal and physical home address to attach to your profile, with a note saying that the Branch may change the details as they see fit. This raises several questions in my mind:

Why would they need to have your physical address on file?
Why would they change your address?
Are they using this as a way to keep tabs on where individual JWs live?
Does this not go against the Data Protection Act (as I never recall being presented with their privacy policy and being asked to accept it?

Anyone else that's still active and noticed this? Any ideas as to why they want this info?

If they find your access info being used by multiple persons they want to know where they go to track you down.

Yeah, undoubtedly so they can send the local goon squad, er, loving shepherds, to excoriate you, er, give you loving guidance if they can pin the source of a leak on your user ID.

Perhaps there was a problem with people logging on and pretending to be interested in a free home bible study and JW's were being sent to a fake address ??

Why exactly would some one need to create a login? Is there more information available once you have an account? Just wondering.
