I've known many talented witnesses and ex-JW's that could compose music,write novels, paint portraits etc. but I think this is the best art-form(music,songwriting and composing) that I have personally seen/heard so far that puts what so many of us have experienced and endured into words.
I used to listen to R.E.M.'s song "Losing my Religion" and think how great it would be if someday an Ex-JW could do a song that would apply even more to us. I think this one fulfills that.

I think the song "Freedom" by Anthony Hamilton ( theme of Django unchained) is almost perfectly fit to the life of a JW who is waking up. It talks about o physical slavery and physical freedom but the feeling is identical.
