The "Disney bought Pornhub" thing was a joke that turned into an urban legend.

I wanted to see The Stud, but only because I mistakenly thought that "Let's All Chant" by The Michael Zager Band was on the soundtrack. It turned out that the movie I was thinking of was "The Eyes Of Laura Mars". Glad I never saw that; I was never into that sort of movie! 😱 I saw The Stud years later on video: crappy movie and no Michael Zager. πŸ™„ It wasn't until the age of the internet that I finally figured out what went wrong.

A real problem for all PIMIs is that they have been brainwashed to feeel guilty about everything. They have been programmed to go tell the elders about everything

Many feel guilty they are not doing enough ministry or due to what the GB say they just feel they should be doing more study or doing more in the congregation. They feel guilty they watch slightly inappropriate entertainment.

I know of st least a few brothers who viewed porn and the guilt was eating them up. They had to go tell the elders. It’s often sexual repression and it leads to other problems.

when you think about it porn and masterbation is very common and not that bad, certainly not bad enough to have guilt eating away at you.

They are worried about porn in the marriage, what about abuse? They have interesting priorities and there has to be a reason why.

Disney probably wanted to buy Pornhub, when they realized how much Disney-related porn there was on the site.

Diogenesister: only to bring them home to watch & give away to family & friends for their collections

So... what did you think about Cannibal Holocaust?

As a former elder, I loved seeing the faces of my co-elders when I would say things like "my wife can take a good whippin"...😁

How is pornography in the marriage any different than going to a restaurant to eat rather than having the wife's or husband's cooking? It is saying that someone else can do something better than the spouse, without the work, but yet there is no jealousy.

Most marital issues were TMI (too much information) for me as an elder.

Rattigan350: Quote."How is pornography in the marriage any different than going to a restaurant to eat rather than having the wife's or husband's cooking? "

To continue your analogy (which I liked) pornography can also be likened to reading recipes - looking for ideas to make the matter more interesting.

Of course, through christian religious propaganda, pornography has become an ugly word, not suitable for the subject.
