I just watched Youtube Warwick PIMO -2 videos which I will link if you care to watch them for context. He shows clips of various people starting to get involved in various religions and they are all saying basically the same thing- a feeling coming over them and that is how they knew they had found the truth...very interesting! The first experiences are of JW, but other religions follow if you watch the 2 videos. https://www.youtube.com/@WarwickPIMO. and :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kKggAmiU-U

The religious experiences cover from Buddah to Wiccan and others...anyway, you have this variety of religions, but there seems to be a "spirit" that draws people in so they all reach the same conclusion, having had similar experience. Weird!!

The Mormons trade on it. A warm fuzzy feeling about the Book of Mormon proves it's the truth, to them.

In the LDS faith, a person's testimony can be anything from a rush of emotion, to a providential coincidence, to a supernatural experience.

    @ enoughisenough,

The bible says that "They become fools who worship the creation rather than the Creator" (Romans 1:22). In other words, part of human nature prohibits a relationship with the Creator. People are scared of him like Adam and Eve were after breaking fellowship with him. Fear set it.

In other words, it is not so much that people refuse to worship God, as it is that they cannot worship God.... unless God personally draws them.

So to compensate, people worshipped dead leaders for imagined psychological safety reasons. It is truly irrational, because they are all dead. What advantage is that? Who in their right mind would worship a dead person?

Buddah is dead, Muhammad is dead, Wiccan worships nature which is in a state decay and will die, Lao Tzu is dead, Confucious is dead, As many as seventy ancient authors mention Zeus’s tomb in Crete, so he's dead, Joseph Smith is dead... They're all dead!

Jesus is the only one who made it out of the tomb. He was born to do this very thing. It's the fundamental reason people became Christian. It is a living faith, because Jesus is still alive.

Instead of emotion, Christians have facts of history. It is a reasonable faith.

Red pill blue pill is a good analogy for JWs, but is it possible to take the red pill and still keep some of the advantages of the blue pill? Keep a slither of hope that the promises in the Bible may have some truth to them?

It’s obvious that no organised religion is spirit directed if God even exists. Certainly not JWs who one the one hand claim to be no inspired or infallible. But on the other hand claim Gods spirit directed organisation?

“How does an organization claim be be spirit directed and not inspired by Holy Spirit at the same time?“

They want to have it both ways. Have their cake and eat it.

When they obviously got things wrong they are not inspired or infallible. But every other time they are Spirit directed so follow the direction even if it doesn’t make any sense.

Just like the direction to replace butter with margarine in the 1990s, follow margarine direction even you don’t agree.

Just like Jehovah says the covid vaccines are safe and effective, keep going to get your booster covid shots to remain fully vaccinated.

Tell you what, why not get some of Jehovaxx margarine and put some MRNA spike protein in there and keep injecting that because Jehovaxx has said follow the direction even if you don’t agree.

The Borganization and its followers have often been caught saying and doing,,,,2 different things.

You wonder,,,is this really of God?

The cognitive dissonance must be like having an elephant on your back.

What is annoying is how they don’t address these problems. They have spread a fear not to ever say anything bad the Organisation just like it would be sinning against the Holy Spirit.

Then things can be forgotten about.

I fear this will happen about the vaccines now. Soon it will be common knowledge the truth about the covid vaccines were not safe or effective. But nobody will ever talk about how the GB were so wrong with their direction
