Vatican: Pope Francis is suffering from double pneumonia

Crowds gather nightly in Vatican City to pray for Pope Francis

Funny headline in regard to a person supposed to be a man from God and that believes he will go to heaven when he dies.

To pray for his recovery reminds me of the saying; 'Everyone wants to go to heaven, just not today'.

If Genesis is taken literally then God created Bad with the Good in the Tree of knowledge of good and bad.

In a perfect paradise garden like Genesis depicts, Adam and Eve wouldn't have been able to comprehend the meaning of 'bad'. The snake is the first one to give any kind of explanation about the tree. God just commands them not to touch it, never mind eat from it.

He might as well have told them that eating from the tree would turn them into a space shuttle, they would have been just as clueless.

The way Genesis is written makes God sound like an unfair parent who sets his kids us for deliberate failure with a test and only half the instructions. Like rats in a lab. Unless it's all a metaphor.....at best.

Hehe well the tv anchor wouldn't say they're praying for him to die would he?

It's also reported that he had his coffee and read the newspapers this morning. Doesn't sound like a man who's afraid of dying.

Why did Adam attempt to defend himself, by blaming Eve?

A complete "clueless", as you described him, would have indeed been confused as to why God was asking him to explain himself.

Who remembers the story of the Blue Lagoon? It’s two young children surviving a ship wreck on a desert paradise island.

shipwrecked on an uninhabited tropical island, who eventually fall in love when they become teenagers (a tale not far removed from Adam and Eve in paradise

everyone agrees they are a bit like Adam and Eve just have to figure things out for themselves

a bit like the rest of humanity in that we only understand a fraction of the Bible and if there is a God then what was his purpose. Whoever wrote Genesis what did they want the readers to think?

Genesis describes God as the creator of all things including the rules by which all things will exist. It establishes God as the superior being and man as inferior, created for the purpose of praising and submitting to God. From the very get go in Genesis, God's actions will reveal how you feel about this.
