  Should he have also urged lay people in the Catholic religion to do the same ? In the Catholic Church their does seem to be a prominence of Clergy that have been engaged in this abuse .

  I`m not sure that can be said of the Jehovah`s Witness religion ,my understanding is while this abuse does involve Elders and MS to some degree ,the majority of cases occurs within the laity class ,the rank and file members of the congregations.

  Where the JW`s religion is responsible for a duty of care to its most vulnerable members ,the children.

  Could or would the Governing Body of Jehovah`s Witnesses ever make such an appeal to the Elders ,M.S. or the rank & file of JW`s to turn themselves in if they have been guilty of sexual abuse against a child ?

  The incidence of catholic clergy sexual abuse is bound to be higher because of the celibate precondition for ordination. extraordinary hormonal pressures present there. ( it was ex-catholic - j-witnesses favoured text "forbidding to marry" to browbeat Catholic about their "unscriptural" doctrines)

  I liked the pope's line that they should get ready to meet divine judgement too, even after they paid their debt to society. ( even if that judgement, exists only as an article of faith, (the assured expectation of things to come)

  I venture to say that a catholic priest is almost certain to be in conflict with the law, his conscience on sex matters, whereas the run of the mill jw, elder or not, will get into pedophile situations only because belonging to the small number of those afflicted with that mania.

  Catholics are not tightly controlled as jws are, . The pope has his hands full with his clergy, never mind the other Billion of his followers.

  But Australian media aren't reporting on the trial or its outcome. Despite Pell's mammoth status in the Catholic church and as a public figure, his trial has been held in secret, following a Victorian County Court suppression order that applies Australia-wide. It was imposed after the court accepted that knowledge of the accused's identity in the first trial might prejudice a further trial being held in March.

  Again nobody has commented on this announcement of a high ranking official in the Vatican being charged with child sexual offences by a Victorian court in Australia of which Cardinal George Pell is an Australian citizen.

  It is called actions of the "Luegenpresse" the efforts of the governments, the media to hide the identity of criminals, the effects of religion, illegal immigration, the subtle (or not) change of society.
